Paul Beneke - Paul was appointed to the IDDA board in 2009 to fill out the remainder of Ralph Christiansen's term.  He has been a member of the Pocahontas County Board of Supervisors since 1995.  He is active in numerous boards and commissions including Linking Families and Communities (chairman), Four County Decat for Juveniles (chairman), Pocahontas County Solid Waste Commission, Pocahontas County Board of Health, Pocahontas County Economic Development Commission, Lizard Lake Restoration Committee (chairman), and the county conservation commission.   He is also active in his church and in Amvets.  Paul's comment about IDDA is that "IDDA is a grass roots organization that gives us power through lobbying to protect the drainage laws that have been on the books for many years and also keep them updated to protect the farmer from laws that are not farmer friendly."
